Fax Numbers, Fax Marketing & Other Advertising Methods.

Question: Fax marketing: do you think i could make it work? lots of answers pls!?

I want to start sending out fax ads to businesses in my area. I already have a template and ads on it for all my own stuff but would like to start advertising for other companies for a nominal fee. I want to provide advertising to the local area's for people like me who are broke and struggling and trying to make money selling/ doing whatever it is they sell/ do. My basic "ad sheet " holds 12 square ads.I have 2610 fax numbers that WORK in my area that I can send this ad sheet to and I was thinking of charging $25 a week for a box. - borders and THEIR graphics included ( whatever style they like) I am good with graphics and wording and can help customers design their ads if they need it either free with a long term contract for advertising or also for a small fee. What do you think? Would you pay $25/ week to advertise your business to roughly 12, 000 ppl a week? Am I asking too much or too little? Do you have a better idea or a way I could make this idea better? Thank you

I do agree with one thing the other answer said. Fax marketing is dead, and akin to spam. If you start sending uninvited faxes, you will quickly find yourself on the wrong end of FCC compliance. And anyone who advertised with you will be coming to complain too. There must be something as creative you can come up with that wont be as invasive.

I think its a great idea I ran a restaurant for years and we would forget to send out the fax if we were busy. Then everyone would start calling and asking what the specials were. I would have gladly paid $25.00 for this service. Also think about offering emailings. Good luck I think you will do great.

What ever your trying to do it is an advertisement so keep doing it makes you to reach more so you can make more.....

Regarding your Fax marketing plan. First you need to check with your local news papers and find out what they charge for classifieds or coupon ads, and pro rate your charges to be similar to theirs. next run a test with a couple of differant business in your area using private owned or franchise owned, Food lines usually work the best. Show them what you are offering, ask them to try it with Their special for a week Than . on your page, any free space must be filled in with different size captions, " your ad could be here, contact ?...
