Question: Is this an illegal form of advertising?

Okay, so I'm 14 and I've been using this site called FreebieJeebies, and to get my free item, which in this case is an iPhone 4 - 32GB SIM FREE, I have to get 29 referrals, which basically means I have to get 29 people to sign up at this link http:/ / apple.freebiejeebies.co.uk/ 338359 So far, from YouTube videos and just posting around forums, I've made 1 referral, and at this rate it's going to take ages to get my iPhone. I want to use the methods that the guy in this video teaches http:/ / www.youtube.com/ watch?v=WUOku7gPRvY So I want to like go around and whenever I go out and I like go to public toilets, I will put like little business cards down or like flyers. I was just wondering though, is this illegal? I will be like leaving them on tables deliberately and when I go camping soon I want to use this as a chance to place more around the village we're going to. The business card will just have "Free iPhone " printed at the top, with some information underneath and then a website I will be setting up for it. So here are my questions... 1) So, what parts of this are illegal? 2) How much trouble could I get into for this? 3) Am I likely to get into trouble? P.S. It may sound stupid, but on the business card I'm going to say that I'm a woman and that the website is run by me, to bring in more people. P.S.S. I don't want any answers saying this website is fake, I know for a fact it's real. I don't care if it was illegal for the website to make me want to sell this idea, I'm not selling it. Also, could you please just answer the questions I ask? I only want to know about if it's illegal to place around the business cards.

Hi it is illegal for them to encourage you to sell this idea. when you have been conned into selling the idea and at the end no goods appear.

While the form of advertising is not really illegal you need to be careful because you have to to a lot of work and the return is not guaranteed. What happens if the phone never arrives. You have to be careful about placing stickers and business cards around the place because It can be deemed littering and owners of private establishments can become upset about this type of thing. It seems like a lot of work - why not invest your time working and just buy the phone.

Well, If your product or service doesn't harm anybody with your Ad Message then this kind of Advertising is not illegal. But why to do devaluation of your service or Offer instead you can approach your target market directly. Select a professional place where you can get genuine people and who can also respond you at that time. E.g. Frequent Trade Fair, Shopping Mall gate Or those public places where you can find good and better prospects. Do Better Job, evaluate your offer and and Get Good Response.
