Question: Is this false advertising?

Today I was excited to see a fantastic offer from Titan Poker on facebook. Quote: Titan PokerThe first 40 fans to answer the question on our wall (not in Private message), will receive free Token to our $250, 000 Guaranteed Tournament. Good Luck! Wow a $300 seat to the $250k GTD just for posting and I was 25th to do so and was well happy. I posted that I was unhappy to post my TTR account number but had done so as the prize was so good. Then over an hour afterwards comes the "cop out " Quote: Titan PokerClarification: The Tokens we are giving are for the qualifications to the $250k on March 12th. the winners will get an invite to the $250k tournament which will be held on March 21st. I have posted my views, they say Quote: Titan Poker Christopher, We are truly sorry you feel like this. we made an honest mistake in the 1st post and didn't descirbe the free token right. we made a clarification about it almost instantly. we have deleted your comment with the TTR. If you would still like to take part in this tournament you will be able to do so if you would like to. your seat is reserved in the qualifications. again, we do apologize for the mix up, we never intended to create a let down for you or any other fan. I am a very unhappy affiliate and i also wonder as to the legal aspect of this as it quite clearly reads Quote: will receive free Token to our $250, 000 Guaranteed Tournament What do you think? I still think they should honour the first offer. Someone just said it was a free gift. I had to post my account number therefore leaving my account open to hackers and also reply within 40 posts so it was not "free " as I had to do something for it. Milking Titan?? blood from a stone would be easier!! or milk from a bull lol. People should be made to pay for their mistakes, it's the best way to learn! Oh and the change was from a $300+ seat to a game to play for 2 of them so you best tell us where you work in titan. :- )

A place like "Titan Poker " is not likely to follow good business practices.

Misprints, Miswordings and Typos are not false advertising if corrected in a timely manner.

In the UK trading standard laws state that they have to provide you with the offer first stated. For example if i went to a cashier with 2 items at buy one get one free, and she says no that ended yesterday, she still HAS to sell me the item at buy one get one free as thats what its being advertised at. Its worth checking with your local authority (we have councils, I dont know whats in America' but its worth checking.

This is on Facebook...so we are talking about Fake money ...Right? So who cares if they goofed...it is just a game...get over it...is there for fun...not to be taken so seriously that you cause your blood pressure to rocket out of control...geesh.

What false advertising? did you buy anything? you got a free gift. they didn't ask for it back they just changed it. and not dramatically. maybe you just want to milk them for a free gift??? that can't be right... ;-)
