I'm attempting to write a paper on international recruitment efforts of US universities, for my market research class. It appears that with many budget deficits, etc, many universities are looking toward international students who pay more tuition, to fill the hole. I'm interested in finding out what Universities do to attract foreign students, how much money they spend, the challenges they face and their target amount of foreign students.

I have a podcast and blog linked together .I have 300 subscribers and 1,000 visitors per day.I sell ad space, sell my own ebook, and want to create a training program and sell ad space on my podcast.I now only post 2 times per month but numbers stay constant.I've been at it for 2 yrs, but I slowed down cause all I can make is $60 per month. I felt like it was too much work for that kind of money.I'm now getting the itch to start up again simply because I love doing it... but given this picture can I possibly grow this into something that makes at least $500 per month? My wife wants me to quit doing it all together even though I spend plenty of time with the fam, I guess I feel like if I made a little money she would shut up about it.

For the last few months I've been doing some freelance administrative work locally. Now I want to offer my freelance services online at Elance, oDesk, and Guru. Right now I'm updating and rewording my profile that I have on Elance. Could you please take a look at my Elance profile and tell me if my Profile sounds good? To view my profile please go to vlrath.elance.com Also I decided to name my freelance business Simplified Services and my tagline is " Offering you services to make your business simple" Does that sound like a good tagline or should I use something different? Does anyone have any suggestions for a tagline?Please tell me if my profile sounds good? Is there any wording or tips you have that could make it sound any better? f a company launches two brands into the same market segment then they will take away sale from each other. However, if they are so positioned so that customers perceive the products as being decidedly different then the combined effect of having the two brands in the same segment can lead to substantial prohts.Alpha markets a soap powder called Cleen which has a 20 % share of a soap powder market segment. Five years ago it introduced a new soap powder called Scrub which was perceived by users to be very similar to Cleen. The result was that Cleen's share of the market segment dropped to 10 % as Scrub took 10 per cent of the market segment sales. Cannibalisation had occurred many people who normally bought Cleen had simply shifted their allegiance to Scrub. In this case Alpha actually was much worse off since it had incurred development and marketing costs on the new product Scrub and was now spending more money marketing the two products than it had previously done in just marketing Cleen. In addition there were also extra production costs involved. Altogether this was a marketing fiasco and Alpha quickly rectified the situation by withdrawing Scrub from sale.Two years ago Cleen had regained its 20 % share of the market segment and Alpha decided once again to launch another brand alongside Cleen. This time it made sure that the soap powder was perceived to be signif cantly different by potential users. The new product's name is Mop and it now has a 15 % share of the same market segment as Cleen.Cleen has only dropped two points off its origjnal share of the r narket segment which now stands at 18 per cent. Adding the two market shares together now means that Alpha has a 33 % share of the market segment. The additional costs of having two brands in the market segment have been more than recovered and the firm's prohtability has been increased substantially.
